“No trees were harmed in the building of this profile.” is displayed in a handwritten font on a piece of ripped three-hole-punch paper above the recycled material looking background and subtle recycle logo. My goal for MySpace Canada’s Impact profile from a visual perspective was to carry over their core purpose of being earth-friendly while also creating a place for “MySpacers to make a difference in the world”. This was probably one of the most fun and creatively adventurous projects I authored during my tenure at MySpace. The “Make an IMPACT” treatment and subsequent headers on the modules were hand-drawn with a sharpie by me and then scanned and dropped into the layout. The background texture underneath the logo and tagline” was actually a piece of gauze from a previous injury (unused I promise), that I photographed. The tape was also photographed and used in this layout. Probably my proudest creative moment at “The Space” and it’s still live despite the fact that MySpace Canada is not.
